Hi, I'm Ben.
I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and studied Entrepreneurship and International Business at the University of Dayton, graduating in 2018. I went straight into my MBA – also at Dayton – finishing in 2019.
After that, I moved to Europe, and that's where my perspective on language changed completely. I learned Spanish by living in Spain and German by living in Germany. I did both through a combination of full immersion and private classes, and reached fluency in each. That experience taught me something I bring into every class I teach: you can't fully learn a language by studying it alone. You learn it by using it – under pressure, in real situations, with real stakes. This is the environment I simulate in my classes.
I've been coaching English professionally for over 7 years, working with hundreds of students from dozens of countries across Europe and beyond. Most of my clients are working professionals who already speak English but want to be sharper, more natural, and more confident when it matters – in presentations, negotiations, client calls, and everything in between.
I'm based in Berlin, Germany, and work primarily with clients in European time zones, though I'm open to working across different schedules.
