English for presentations.

Presenting in English is a different skill from speaking English. You can be completely comfortable in a meeting and still freeze when it's your turn, with your slides on the screen and everyone looking at you (or at their camera).

The good news is that it's very trainable. Most of it comes down to structure, practice, and a handful of phrases you can lean on when you're nervous.

What we work on

From your opening line to the last question.

  • 01

    Your real presentation

Bring the deck you're presenting next week. We rehearse it together, and I correct it as we go, so the practice goes straight into the real thing.

  • 02

    Structure people can follow

You need a clear opening, phrases that move people from one point to the next ("Let's move on to...", "As you can see here..."), and an ending that actually lands.

  • 03

    Numbers and charts

We practice describing trends, comparing results, and rounding numbers the way natives do. This is where a lot of presenters get stuck, even very fluent ones.

  • 04

    Pronunciation and pace

We work on the words you always stumble on, where to pause, and how to stop speeding up when you get nervous.

  • 05

    Questions you didn't prepare for

You'll learn how to buy yourself a few seconds, what to say when you didn't understand the question, and how to answer without rambling.

  • 06

    Presenting online

Most presentations happen on a video call now, and that changes things - you can't make eye contact or read the room, so it's very easy to lose people.

When you practice with me, I'll fix your grammar, of course, but I'll also tell you where I got lost as a listener, because if I got lost, your audience will too.

If you'd like to get started on your own, have a look at the presenting at a conference and giving a talk topics in my Business English warm-ups.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is free.

  1. Book your free 30 minutes

Tell me what you present, who to, and when your next one is.

  2. Bring your slides

It can be a real deck or even just an outline, because we work on the presentation you actually have to give.

  3. Practice

Classes are 1-on-1 on Google Meet and cost $50 for 60 minutes. Every correction goes into our shared class document, so you can review it before you present.
